I. Forest

Location: Westland > Forest > The Forest

What is The Forest?

This is where you can go to use your energy. When you click on the forest link, you are taken into a forest area and as you go through it by clicking the text links, you'll have random battles with NPC characters, collect gold, gain experience, and find platinum. This forest, however, is just for those who are beginning. Once you hit level 14 or 15, you will not gain nearly as much experience. At that point you can go into the dark forest. It is the same thing, except with higher level monsters. Don't worry, though, the monsters will always be within your level range.

There are 4 quests in The Forest:

Quest 1 - rescue the cat
Quest 2 - crossing the bridge
Quest 3 - hunt for the hunter
Quest 4 - search for "Hansel" and "Gretel"

You will see what quest you are on from your side bar - "You are currently on stage X of quest X". These quests will appear randomly. The length of a quest depends on the choices you make. Every time you finish a quest, an NPC will reward you with Platinum. The quests repeat over and over again as long as you continue to go to The Forest.

Items in the Forest
• Berries – Replenish your HP by 2
• Stopping for a short rest will let you regain 2 energy
• A refreshing spring will give you 5 energy
• Random amounts of gold

II. Dark Forest

Location: Westland > Forest > The Dark Forest

You can access it as early as level 10 but this is not advisable because the monsters are too strong for a level 10 if you did not camp.

There are 7 Quests in the Dark Forest

• Reward platinums increase by 1 for every 20 levels.

*Quest 5 - Hunt for Alligator of Doom/Rabid Raccoon/Fire Cat/Forest Demon/Wiley Coyote/Ninja Gopher
Quest 6 - Kill the Dragons
Quest 7 - Psycho Steve wanders the Dark Forest
Quest 8 - Psycho Steve kidnaps the Doctor
Quest 9 - Hunt for Mud Snakes (random number)
*Quest 10 - Search for the Prince's "daughter"
Quest 11 - Kill the Great Beast

*These Quests have 2 options. You can either take the 4 Platinum, or go for 6 Platinum, but there is a chance that the NPC will get angry and will give you nothing instead.

Items found in Dark Forest
• Random Amounts of Gold
• Platinum ore will give you 2 or 3 platinums
• A Refreshing Spring will replenish your energy by 5 points
• Rare Max Energy Spring will increase your maximum energy by +1
• Scraps of Paper with numbers on it – These are used for the Red Lobster Quests
• Gold covered in Fruity Slime – These are used for Red Lobster Quests
• Leaves – Used in the Old Tree Quests (Level 40+)

III. Caves

As you explore the DF you will find caves. Inside a cave, the monsters will engage you in battle whether you like it or not. There is also no quest here. The quest you have before you get inside is still the quest you will finish when you get out. Every cave has a map hidden somewhere. You just have to step on its square to find it.

Items Found in the Cave
• Random Amounts of Gold
• Chests – These can have several things in them. 1 or 2 platinum, Larger sums of gold, lose 2 hp from a trap, or battle a mimic.

You can save energy by exploring the caves. The only time that you expend energy is when you open a chest or battle a creature. You don't lose lose energy for just "hearing things" or "dark creatures taking 10 of your hp".
