I've only ever eaten lobster in a restaurant, and that's all good, but I've eaten loads of crab (with other shellfish) mainly on beach camp fires, and that was more fun... Taste wise though, they're both delicious, like all food! There's a place in Wales called Aberdovey, a mile inland up the estuary where the train track sits on a high wall about 30ft up from the water, I used to sit on the wall catching crabs with bacon rind tied on the end of my crab-line, I'd toss the green and black crabs back, and any red ones caught that were bigger than my palm would be stowed in my bucket, half filled with sea water, and saved for the camp-fire later that night... Happy child-hood memories  |
