how about this lets take the pet idea a lil further ...

everyone can chose a pet, maybe we want to go as far as different pets and differnt skills, but first of all the basic idea

every player has stats (training and ap combined), then on top of that i get a pet

lets say its a dog (fluffy)
u can name the pet and train its stats
def,str,agi,wis(maybe wis.. for skills aswell)

now when i fight of cause fluffy fights with me, so his stats get added to mine and if someone attacks me, fluffy fights with me aswell


now the big twist

a pet doesn t have a level, they are all basically level 1, they don t get exp, they don t level, they don t gain ap

so all I can do to make fluffy stronger is train him twice a day
so the stat gain from a pet is very minimal

but the actual fun idea is that i can send my fluffy after someone
because they are all level 1, they can attack everyone
considering how weak they all are when they stand by themselves it shouldn t be a problem


so each player level 1-4955 gets a pet with 0-0-0-0 stats
and trains them like a level 1 players training

then after months and months they might actually be worth fighting with

now about different pets as mysterious said and the question of health

all pets could have a base health, or health could depend on players health *e.g.) fluffy is 10% as healthy as me(don t really like it cause it gives spenders advantage)

another way is to give all pets different stats stats

another way regarding pets life could be a different class

lets say

Kitten ,tiger, sabertooth tiger
class I, class II, class III

and u can t train health, but they grow up, for example they all start with 500 health, class 2 has 1000 and class 3 has 2000 health


and they grow up based on training turns
15 turns a reset, all pets start at class I and need to do 1000 training turns to reach class 2 and 5000 to reach 3 etc

so u can train str,def,agi or wis, and after 1000 trains (doesn t matter what u trained) they grow up

pets health doesn t get added to ur health because ppl fight you not ur pet
once u die ur pets runs away
and pets health only counts if u send it after someone
