Subject: The Rebuild - Explained | |||||
As posted by Feltash in W1.*** Several months ago we ran a feedback form on the game and gathered players thoughts on what needed to change in order to improve the game. We have listened and the following updates will be: You said (via feedback forms 2010):"Im not interested in PvP anymore, I want NPCs to play a larger role within the gaming competitions." The Westland Cup What Is The Westland Cup? The whole of Westland will be broken up into 8 cities. Each one holds a different selection of areas within Dark Warriors. Players are free to become a citizen of a certain city for the first 3 days of a month. Once you have chosen your city you will then fight for this city in the Westland Cup alongside the other citizens of the same city. Points will accumulate over the month from protecting the town of Westland from attacks. Each successful kill is worth 2 points for your city, and each loss is worth -1 point. Each kill from protecting Westland also gives you Loyalty Point experience! Each city also has a certain amount of 'health'. When NPCs attack a certain city if they are not killed quickly then they will start to take damage on a certain area. If a city reaches 0 health then the Westland Cup points for this city are halved and their health is reset to maximum. Players MUST protect their city at all times to make sure they don't lose health. The winning city for the month will split the Westland Cup Jackpot for that month. (This is a game credit prize split over the citizens of a town. This split IS based on how many kills you personally made). To check if a town is under attack you can check the Westland Map on the new Westland homepage. This will flash with a red icon when under attack. You can also mouse-over a specific area on the map for the full details on a certain city. Armies range in size from 1-250000 NPCs. Chances of Attack (per 30 mins) & Max Health: Ordin: 1/100 chance of attack per 30m (Max HP: 40,000) Aldara: 1/90 chance of attack per 30m (Max HP: 42,000) Helios: 1/80 chance of attack per 30m (Max HP: 44,000) Kratos: 1/70 chance of attack per 30m (Max HP: 48,000) Orithia: 1/40 chance of attack per 30m (Max HP: 50,000) Theia: 1/60 chance of attack per 30m (Max HP: 52,000) Triton: 1/50 chance of attack per 30m (Max HP: 54,000) ----------------- You said (via feedback forms 2010): "Im bored of the same quests in the Forests, and want other tasks to keep me busy during revives." Disease What Is Disease? Disease can strike at any time, there are a variety of different disease in Westland that all have different effects. Each of these are listed below: Ordin - Black Death: Causes 50% less gold from forest. Aldara - Miners Cough: Causes 50% less mining max fatigue. This list can range from foods, to fish, to orbs and ore! The new immunity stat also plays a massive part with diseases. The more immunity you have the less chance you have of getting sick. The Spread If the active citizens of a certain city do not get an antidote then the infection can change severity. The severity level is also another indicator of how much chance you have of getting the disease. Further details of this are below: Devastating - If over 50% of active population. Chronic - If over 25% of active population / Less than 50%. Severe - If over 10% of active population / less than 25%. Mild - If over 5% of active population / Less than 10%. Low - If below 5% of active population. ----------------- You said (via feedback forms 2010): "CBR is useless in its current state. The only worthwhile prize is bragging rights for the Elite."
