| The bible was written as a guideline. Its like a text book. It explains to us what happened, what is happening and what is going to happen. Whether you accept it or you don't, the basic point of the bible is to keep what christ came to this earth to teach and to do alive so that those who believe, that weren't upon this earth when christ walked, can still learn from his teachings. As far as God being a bad parent, when he put us here, he gave us free will. He can only guide us, as can Christ, but he can not tell us what to do, and how to do it. Thats for us to decide. Some make good choices, others make bad choices, but we can't accuse him of failing us. How do you expect to learn , if you let someone tell you how to live. You have to let your own mind and your own heart guide you. You can allow the teachings to help guide you, or you can ignore them. Man kind cannot be perfect, its physically and naturally impossibe. This being the reason why Christ was sacrificed. Salvation isn't ours, unless the right of salvation is given to us, and Christ giving his life, was that right being given to us. Now its upto those who believe to want it. |
